As a dedicated community leader with a lifelong commitment to serving and safeguarding our neighbourhoods, I humbly ask for your support as your representative for Sandpiper Ward.

About Graham

My journey is established in community service—over 48 years with the Country Fire Authority and leadership roles spanning organizations like the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, CVGT Australia and Remembrance Parks Central Victoria.

From boardrooms to bushfires, I've navigated challenges with resilience and determination. As a seasoned executive and Nationally Accredited Mediator, I've driven transformative change and influenced policy across diverse sectors. In my legal career, I specialize in empowering businesses through strategic negotiations, mergers, and navigating complex legislation.

Beyond my professional life, my heart lies in community activism. I cherish my roles in local clubs and organizations, striving to make a meaningful impact as a non-executive chair and director. As a new grandfather, family holds a special place in my life, alongside my passion for sailing down our riverways on our family houseboat.

With your support, I will bring decades of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to making Sandpiper Ward an even better place to call home. Together, let's build a future where our community thrives.

Community testimonials

"The Aspendale Lifesaving Club would like to recognise the inspiring community leadership of Graham Fountain. Knowing Graham via the Aspendale Lifesaving Club and the Edithvale CFA his exemplary devotion to the community is a true indicator of his passion and commitment towards the Kingston community.

As President of the Aspendale Life Saving Club I could not consider a more valuable, honest and knowledgeable inspiring community leader than Graham Fountain.

It's a privilege to work alongside Graham and the success Graham has in his career being professional or volunteer is a testament of his inspiring, and devoted character."

Chad Henry

President, Aspendale Life Saving Club

"Someone once said, there are three types of people in the World. There are people who make things happen, there are people who watch things happen, and there are people who wonder, what happened? Without a shadow of a doubt, Graham is a man who makes things happen. He is also a giver. For many years, he has given his time, energy, knowledge and experience ot our local community through his many volunteer roles, not only through his many years with the CFA, but more broadly, his committee roles with a number of other organisations. I have always found Graham to be a genuine, caring, and considerate person who has given a lifetime of service, putting others ahead of himself. His decision to run for Councillor for Sandpiper Ward in the upcoming City of Kingston Council elections would not have been made lightly. Graham will only ever take on a challenge, if he is willing to give 110% of himself to that challenge, and based on his decision to run. I believe that he would be a wonderful addition to our Council decision makers"

Graham's tireless dedication and connection with the community, achievements securing funding and the construction for the new Edithvale Fire Station, as well as his negotiation and business skills are second to none, and he hasn't let us down. Graham is in it for the right reasons (to support the community) and has the total support of the Edithvale Aspendale Sporting Club in his endeavours to represent the community on Council."

"When you think of community leadership you think no further than Graham Fountain. His extraordinary leadership of our local CFA as well as negotiating funding and representing the sporting clubs in the Regents Park redevelopment project has been exceptional. He is inclusive, attends meetings, provides feedback and is truly engaged in projects for the benefit of the whole community. He has certainly supported the tennis club. I have no hesitation supporting his campaign to be our local representative on Council."
